Duri water still being trucked in

It’s been 12 months since a fuel leak impacted Duri which lead to the town not being allowed to utilise its bore water, and one year on residents are still banned from using the affected bores.

The NSW Environment Protection Authority has confirmed it is managing the investigation and remediation plans and the advice that residents shouldn’t use the bore water remains in place.

Tamworth Regional Council is still trucking water into affected residents of Duri, and there is no date as to when this will stop as investigations continue.
