Firies called to housefires in Gunnedah

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were kept busy over the last 24 hours with two fires in Gunnedah.

Fire and Rescue crews from Gunnedah and Boggabri were on scene at Little Conadilly Street at about 2am this morning, where a house was completely on fire and subsequently completely destroyed.

No one was home at the time and firies were putting out hot spots around 4pm.

About 6pm on Sunday night crews from both towns also attended a housefire on Herbert Street and on arrival, crews found a brick and tile house on fire, and they got to work in breathing apparatus

Teams brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes and Essential Energy crews were also on scene quickly to cut the power to the premises.

No occupants were home at the time of this fire, either.

Ambulance and police were in attendance to provide support.
