Man arrested and charged with supplying drugs

About 12.35am on September 23, officers attached to Western Region Enforcement Squad and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command stopped a vehicle on the New England Highway, Timbumburi, approximately 16km south of Tamworth.

After speaking with the driver, officers searched the vehicle and allegedly located and seized 10.5g of methylamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $10,500 , and drug paraphernalia.

The methylamphetamine has an estimated potential street value of $10,500.

Following inquiries, officers arrested a 29-year-old man at a home on Cole Road, Tamworth about 11.45am yesterday and he has been charged with supply prohibited drug - indictable quantity and possess prohibited drug, and given conditional bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court next month.
