Police seek information after teen assaulted during robbery

Police are appealing for public assistance following the assault and robbery of a teen in Tamworth.

About 10pm yesterday (Thursday 8 May 2020), a 14-year-old boy was walking along Nancy Street, Tamworth and, as he entered a lane way, was approached by two men.

The men demanded his bum bag before one of them held his arms while the other one punched him several times.

They fled with his bag, which contained a wallet, keys, and speakers.

The incident was report to officers from Oxley Police District and an investigation commenced.

Both men are described as being Caucasian appearance, 185cms tall, and wearing black hoodies.

As inquiries continue, any witnesses or any motorists who may have been in the area and have CCTV or dashcam vision, are urged to come forward.
