Tamworth Region's Seniors Celebrated
The Seniors' Week Awards recognise the invaluable contribution of Senior Citizens and groups in the Tamworth Regional Council Area who have assisted older people through active participation on community committees, advocacy on behalf of older people and major contribution to community life over many years.
Today, senior citizens and volunteer groups were recognized in a ceremony held at the Tamworth Community Centre.
Individuals and groups acknowledged for their contributions were:
2020 Nundle Senior of the Year - Ms Maria Velt Kamp
2020 Barraba Senior of the Year - Mr Robert Richardson
2020 Barraba Community Group of the Year - GoCo Community Transport/ GoCo Meals on Wheels
2020 Manilla Senior of the Year - Mrs Karel Saints 2020 Tamworth Senior of the Year - Mr John Wallace
2020 Tamworth Senior of the Year - Mrs Suzanne Turnor 2020 Tamworth Community Group of the Year - Kable Avenue Indoor Bowls
