Two fires at Werris Creek

Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Werris Creek and Quirindi, along with the RFS, attended a house fire in Werris Creek around 10 o’clock this morning with crews reporting gas bottles on the property needed to be cooled down and the house was well alight when they arrived.

It not known at this stage how the fire started.

The fire was extinguished and a second fire was reported at 11 o’clock in Dewar St Werris Creek and quickly extinguished by firies and Fire and Rescue Zone Commander Superintendent Tom Cooper said it appears to have started in a solar panel.
