Two stabbings on Saturday
Two people were stabbed in separate incidents in the region over the weekend.
A 56-year-old man is accused of stabbing his de-facto partner after an argument broke out in a Kenny Drive home in Coledale, in Tamworth on Saturday.
a 56-year-old female sustained a minor laceration and was taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition for non life-threatening injuries and the man has been charged with domestic violence-related reckless wounding, along with breaching an AVO and he was granted bail to front court at a later date.
In the second incident, police were called to a Spring Ridge home early on Saturday night and will allege a 55-year-old woman attacked a 22-year-old man, after the pair were drinking together at a gathering.
Police allege the woman stabbed the younger man in the forearm. Police and paramedics were alerted and the man was taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
The woman was taken to Tamworth police station where she was charged with reckless wounding, and was granted conditional bail to front court at a later date.
